“Browny has been working on his Achilles over the summer,” said Sinton, who hopes to sign another striker and a defender over the weekend.

“He had a programme and it was clear last night that he has been following that.”

Sinton was pleased with what he saw at the first session of pre-season, in what was a low key return to business.

“The boys looked in good shape and a few of the trialists that came in looked decent,” he said.

“The hardest part last night was keeping the reins on everyone and if that’s all we’ve got to worry about then we have to be happy.

“It was quite a light session and it will be the same tomorrow, then we’ll step it up next week.”

Meanwhile, Telford’s early bird season ticket offer closed yesterday, with the club delighted by the uptake from supporters.

Already, more than 500 season tickets have been sold for the 2011-12 campaign – close to last term’s final tally of 571.

“I think we will go through the 650 mark, which will be close to our overall record,” said chairman Lee Carter.

“There’s a lot to be excited about right now –it’s only a short time since we finished last season and it’s come around quickly.”
