Sinton setting his sights on strike ace Sills
Saturday 11th June 2011, 11:29AM BST.
AFC Telford United are tracking experienced striker Tim Sills – with manager Andy Sinton set to hold talks with the 6ft 2ins marksman next week.
Sills is a free agent after being released by Aldershot last month and would fit Sinton’s brief of finding an accomplished Conference goalscorer.
The 31-year-old has a career strike-rate of around one goal every three games and was prolific in the Conference Premier during his first spell with Aldershot, as well as helping fire Torquay to promotion in 2009-10.
Assistant manager Darren Read made contact with the player yesterday and talks are likely to carry on once Sinton returns from a short trip to the Bahamas, where he is playing in a legends football tournament.
