Bucks boss Sinton backing Adam Proudlock

AFC Telford United boss Andy Sinton is backing star striker Adam Proudlock to help fire his side to promotion.

Proudlock, 29, could make his return from a hamstring injury in tomorrow’s Blue Square Bet North clash at home to Vauxhall Motors.

The former Wolves man, who has 11 goals to his name, had two weeks of intensive training and rehabilitation at Lilleshall.

“Adam is champing at the bit and I possibly could have played him in some capacity at Hinckley last week but I didn’t think it was worth the risk,” said Sinton.

“I would have thought he would play a part in the games this weekend. He wants to get on the field and amongst the goals.

“If he can do that then he might just get us to where we want to be.”

Meanwhile, Sinton has called on Telford’s fans to crank up the volume for the big promotion run-in.

Massive

The Bucks are already guaranteed a place in the play-offs but enter the Easter period on the back of one win in five games.

“The supporters have got a massive part to play now,” he declared.

“We are going to need them home and away. We want them to get behind us tomorrow and I’m sure we’ll take a lot to the Gloucester game on Monday as well.

“I believe we deserve to be where we are pushing for promotion, and I’m looking forward to the next few weeks.”

Defender Staurt Whitehead is making good progress after being forced off in the Hinckley game by a neck injury.

l Bucks fans will get to see life from the other end tomorrow when the Frank Nagington Stand — usually reserved for away followers when numbers dictate — is opened up to home supporters.

The move has been agreed after a request in the recent fans census.
