Brick smashes Telford fans’ bus window

AFC Telford United fans got home later than expected from their trip to Hyde – after a brick was thrown through the window of their bus while they were watching the game.

The return journey was delayed by more than half an hour as fans waited for police, who did not turn up.

Rob Palin, who organises away day travel for the club, said hundreds of pounds of damage was caused when yobs targeted the supporters’ coach during the Bucks’ 3-0 win at Hyde FC last night.

Mr Palin said: “It didn’t mar the game, which was great, but it did spoil the journey home and it was more subdued than normal considering we had won.

“I’m getting fed up with it and it is frustrating as we also got targeted at Nuneaton on January 3, although this time it looked like a random act.”
