Sinton wants more from AFC Telford United

Tough task-master Andy Sinton is urging AFC Telford United to prove that their stunning display against Alfreton was no flash in the pan.
The Bucks beat the Blue Square Bet North title favourites 2-1 on Tuesday evening to keep their own championship hopes alive.
But Sinton will tonight tell his players that they must not rest on their laurels – insisting they can still improve further.
“That’s the benchmark now and we have to see how many times we can get close to that – or even better it – because I still think there’s more to come,” he said.
“It should fill the team with confidence but we have to get to those levels more often, as a unit and individually.
“I’ve been saying since the end of November that we’d just plateaued out a little bit but Tuesday was a sign that we’re coming out of that and we’re maybe ready to come again.
“We’ve got pace and energy in our side but for six or seven weeks we lost that through no fault of anyones,” he added.
“Maybe we’re through that but we’ll only really see by what happens in the next two or three weeks.”
Meanwhile, Sinton admitted he had been frustrated in a bid to bring in a loan winger from a Football League club.
The Bucks boss had been keen to add another wide option to replace Lee Smith, who chose not to extend his loan from Forest Green Rovers.
“I was chasing a lad at a League club and they want him to come here, but he’s digging his heels in because he’s not sure if he wants to drop to this level,” said Sinton.
“I’m not saying the door’s been slammed completely shut but it is looking a lot less likely now.”
