Boss Andy Sinton insists AFC Telford United will not sell their stars on the cheap – as rumours grow of interest in captain Shane Killock.

League One side Colchester are believed to be monitoring the 21-year-old centre-back after missing out on Alfreton’s Aden Flint – who snubbed the Essex club to join Swindon in a £150,000 deal.

And Sinton believes former Wolves striker Adam Proudlock – the club’s top scorer with 11 goals – has also been watched by scouts.

“I’ve heard rumours that Colchester are interested in Shane Killock and I’ve heard that one or two clubs are looking at Proudlock as well,” he said.

“But there’s been nothing official and I haven’t spoken to either player because there’s nothing to say at this stage.

“If any club wants to take any of our players then we’d make sure that Telford is well compensated.”

Sinton also continues to search for re-inforcements to his promotion-chasing squad.

He has invited a mystery winger who has been with a Premier League club to train with the Bucks over the next couple of weeks and continues to monitor the situation with Derby’s Greg Mills, who proved a hit over the first half of the season.

“I’m led to believe Kidderminster are showing a real interest in Mills but if not then it could be us,” he added.

“We’ve made our interest clear.”

Meanwhile, defender Sam Stockley is back in training at Telford having returned from a trial with two clubs in America.
