Andy Sinton to shuffle AFC Telford United
Friday 21st January 2011, 11:29AM GMT.
Boss Andy Sinton is set to make changes to his AFC Telford United team for tomorrow’s clash with Hinckley, insisting: “We’ll give the fans something to shout about.”
The Bucks chief has named the same line-up for each of the last three Blue Square Bet North fixtures, but is ready to shuffle his pack after Tuesday night’s 3-0 defeat at Blyth Spartans.
“I’m going to be looking for a reaction and I might freshen it up because we haven’t been as fluent as I’d like,” said Sinton.
“We just need a little bit more energy and there’s a temptation to tinker – but if I do it won’t be wholesale changes, it’ll be one or two.
“We’re still in a fantastic position and we’re still challenging on three fronts, if you include the Shropshire Senior Cup,” he added.
“I’m excited going into the second half of the season. The club is in a far healthier shape now, both on and off the field.
“The fans have been great and hopefully we can give them something to shout about in the weeks ahead.”
Hinckley, who include former Telford loanee Andre Gray in their squad, have picked up since the turn of the year and the Telford boss is warning against complacency.
“They’re better than where they are in the table,” added Sinton.
“They’ve got a little bit of pace and power with the way they set up their side.
“They’ll have looked at our result the other night, but they could see that in different ways.
“If I was their manager I’d be warning them to beware of the wounded lion.”
Loan winger Lee Smith could be set for his first start in a Telford shirt as he prepares for his home debut.
Midfielder Stefan Bailey is also in contention for a place in the squad, the former QPR man having shaken off a hamstring injury.

So he’s going to shuffle his team without wholesale changes? Indeed, he suggests only one or two changes, if any.
What a bizarre article.
