AFC Telford 1 Eastwood 0
Saturday 15th January 2011, 5:03PM GMT.
AFC Telford United squeezed into the third round of the FA Trophy with a hard-fought win over Eastwood Town.
Goalkeeper Ryan Young kept up his fine recent form for Telford with a super 20th minute save to deny Eastwood striker Adam Muller.
At the other end, the Bucks’ best chance of the opening period fell to Phil Trainer, who drilled a fierce 20-yard shot inches wide.
The only goal of the game came on 53 minutes, former Wolves striker Adam Proudlock applying the finish off a fine cross from Sean Newton.
A frantic finale saw chances for both teams but Telford held on to ensure their place in Monday’s fraw.
