AFC Telford United had to settle for a point in a thrilling top of the table clash in the Blue Square Bet North that was marred by post-match crowd trouble.

The Bucks had the better chances and were left to rue a 50th minute penalty from Adam Proudlock that was saved by keeper Danny Alcock after Greg Mills had been chopped down by Rob Oddy.

But Nuneaton had their moments as well and Telford had keeper Ryan Young to thank when he made a vital save to deny former Buck Lee Moore in injury-time.

The game was followed by ugly scenes when hooligans gathered outside the stadium to lob missiles at the visiting fans – though no-one from Telford was involved in the trouble.
