Q-School success for Shropshire golfers Ashley Chesters and Will Enefer
Shropshire golfers Ashley Chesters and Will Enefer have made it through the first stage of Q-School qualifying for the European Tour.
Chesters and Enefer finished tied 13th after four rounds at Collingtree Park, with the top 22 plus ties progressing to the second round.
Hawkstone Park's Chesters and Wrekin Golf Club's Enefer finished on eight under par.
After being on five under at the halfway stage in Northampton, both had disappointing third rounds of 74 and 73 respectively.
But a fine final day saw rounds of 67 and 68 to keep the duo's hopes alive of winning a Tour card to play alongside the top names of the sport.
Qualifying tournaments were also held in Portugal, Austria and Italy with the qualifiers from each going on to the second stage, scheduled to take place in November.
