Shifnal Golf Club will host the annual competition, which is organised by Shropshire & Herefordshire Union of Golf Clubs, on Saturday and Sunday.

The draw for round one has been made with eight clashes taking place on the opening day. Quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final will follow with a champion crowned on Sunday.

Bridgnorth's men's county Open champion Conor White will be aiming to add to his burgeoning trophy haul but he will have to overcome Adam Reade in game one to keep that goal on track while Morgan Radziejowski and Harry Burt will meet in game two.

Cameron Dhir and Teddy Hall square off in game three while Lewis Jameson and Ross Booton square up in game four.

In the other half of the draw, Jamie Thomas and James Ford will face each other, Tom Matthews will take on Dani Hoof, Trey Niven tackles Nathan Herdsfield and James Herdman will meet Matthew Jones.

Last year's event was won by Bridgnorth's Callum Brown who is now too old to defend his title while Wrekin's Will Enefer, who came second, did not qualify this year.

The Shropshire & Herefordshire Junior Order of Merit will also be decided over the weekend.

White and Dhir are currently separated by only one point in the standings setting up a grandstand finish.
