Drayton boss relishing AFC Telford cup test

Garner wants a reaction from his players after Saturday's heartbreaking 4-3 defeat at Rainworth Miners Welfare, when Drayton led till late on.

And, with the pressure very much on the visiting Bucks tonight, the Greenfields chief is hoping for a performance which will breed confidence.

He said: "I'm looking for something. When you are winning, 10 minutes from the end, having scored three goals away from home you really need to be closing things out.

"Sometimes you need to be a bit more disciplined. We have everything to gain against Telford and it is a great coup for the club to be involved in a fixture of this nature.

"Hopefully, they will bring a few supporters and we will get some money through the gate."

Ukrainian teenager Oleksandr Ilchenko will continue in goal for Drayton, with regular goalkeeper Danny Read again ruled out with a throat infection.

Garner, who admits he will have one eye on Saturday's league game with Lincoln United, said: "It's not ideal. For a game like this you would want to have your best players available.

"This is where the squad comes into it. Saturday is, perhaps, more important. We have played three out of the top four already this season and not done badly, but we just aren't getting results."

Telford arrive having failed to win any of their 11 Conference Premier games to date, with boss Liam Watson likely to name a strong side as he hunts for any kind of positive.

Garner said: "We know they have not been having the best of times. They are still looking for their first win and we are likely to be facing a top quality side – that is something we will be up for.

"From my point of view, I am going to give a run out to a few lads who have maybe not featured that much and who didn't play on Saturday, just to freshen things up."
