The New Saints search for next director of football
Wednesday 30th November 2011, 10:59AM GMT.
The New Saints will sift through a number of applications as they ponder who will take on the mantle of director of football at Park Hall.
The Welsh Premier club have advertised the post following Mike Davies’ shock departure last week, with the deadline for applications being next Monday.
Operations manager Ian Williams confirmed that a “mixed bag” of applicants had come forward, but there would be no decision until next week at the earliest.
“We’ve had a number of applicants,” he said. “After next Monday’s deadline we will assess the situation, see who else has come forward, and take it from there.”
Scott Ruscoe, the club’s player coach, continues to run the team on a day to day basis along with head coach Carl Darlington.
Darlington, however, himself is unlikely to be in the running for the director of football role as he is currently employed as national development manager with the FAW Trust.
