Oliver Farr impresses on US golf adventure

Shropshire golfer Oliver Farr continues to impress on his American adventure..
Ludlow’s Farr, who won 3,410 dollars from his first three tournaments as a professional, put himself in contention for another healthy pay cheque with a three-under 69 in the opening round of the latest Hooters Tour event in Florida.
Starting at the 10th at Metro West, Farr birdied his first hole yesterday and was still one-under at the turn after exchanging another birdie with a bogey.
Three successive birdies at the start of his back nine saw him leap up the leaderboard, and he moved to five-under-par at the seventh.
A frustrating finish saw Farr drop shots at the last two holes, but he still ended day one tied for seventh and only three shots off the lead.
