Pair on track for top athletics awards

Two of Shropshire’s top junior athletes will be recognised tomorrow night.
Hollie Williamson and Huw Bevan – of Shrewsbury and Bridgnorth respectively – won the athletes of the meeting awards from the Shropshire Track and Field Championship in May.
Hollie, 13, ran the 70m hurdles in 11.6secs while Bevan claimed the under 17 javelin title with a throw of 63.93m.
The pair will be presented with their awards at the annual meeting of the Shropshire Athletics Association at the Shirehall, Shrewsbury at 7.30pm.
