Telford Tigers finished their first weekend of the English Premier League season with two points out of four – and player-coach Tom Watkins will be looking to capitalise on Sunday’s 4-1 win over Guildford Flames.
A 6-0 defeat at the hands of Swindon Wildcats on Saturday cast a shadow over the club’s return to competitive action, with some fans fearing the worst ahead of Sunday’s trip to Surrey.

Watkins believes Sunday’s result will give his side a much-needed confidence boost.
