A trio of former England stars will be guests at a special cricket dinner in Shropshire. Ashley Giles, Derek Pringle and Angus Fraser – who have played 130 Tests between them – will feature in a Shropshire County Cricket Club sportsman’s dinner on Thursday, November 10.

The event – called ‘Grumpy Old Bowlers’ – will be staged at the Memorial Hall at Wrekin College on Thursday, November 10 and will include a four-course dinner.

Cricket journalist Peter Hayter joins the former international trio while Shropshire’s Minor Counties squad will also be in attendance.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for Shropshire cricket supporters to come and listen to eminent speakers from cricket,” said Shropshire vice-chairman Toby Shaw.

The dinner will be limited to a maximum of 250 guests and details of tickets – which are available for £45 per head – can be obtained from Toby Shaw on 07967 721 745.
