Liverpool have agreed a deal for David N’Gog to go to Bolton…this transfer deadline day has been a slow one!
Arsenal are looking to bolster their beleaguered squad by frantically signing players they were previously unconvinced by, Arsène Wenger has returned to Werder Bremmen to spark up interest in Per Mertesacker who he had previously been unconvinced by. It is looking as though he wants to sign the big, German centre half for around €9 million.
Owen Hargreaves is looking more and more likely throughout the day to make the proposed move to Manchester City after Manchester United released him several months earlier. The 30-year old recently posted videos of him training on the internet to prove his fitness, this has sparked interest by Manchester City, however, it seems a ludicrous move for a player trying to prove himself all over again.
Joe Cole is reportedly having his medical at Lille. However, sources close to the player are keen to stress that this move is far from complete as Aston Villa are showing a late interest in the player.
Craig Bellamy is still in talks with QPR over a potential move as the 34- year old striker has moved well down the pecking order in Manchester City’s striking ranks. However, QPR are not willing to spend £10 million on Tottenham striker Peter Crouch, this in turn has left Niall Quinn, Sunderland chairman, to negotiate with Daniel Levy, Tottenham chairman, over the £12 million valuation of the player.
Sky Sports News are promising ‘exciting news’ for Manchester United fans on this deadline day, no definite players linked so far but expectation is beginning to rise around Old Trafford.
