Mark Robinson back in Shropshire Minor Counties fold
Thursday 18th August 2011, 11:29AM BST.
Oswestry captain Mark Robinson will make his first Shropshire Minor Counties appearance for two years on home territory this weekend.
The left arm spinner has not featured since August 2009 but has been named in the 12-man squad for the western division clash at Morda Road on Sunday.
Robinson has been rewarded for impressive form in Birmingham League division three this season which has seen him take 26 wickets – including a career best 8-39 against Handsworth last Saturday.
Wicket-keeper Anthony Parker returns to the squad for the three-day game after being unavailable for the defeat to Devon.
He will don the gloves with Whitchurch’s Simon Gregory – who filled in at Devon – playing as a batsman.
Shropshire are again without the Shrewsbury contingent as they face a National Knockout semi-final on Sunday.
Squad: Chris Murtagh (Reigate, captain), Jono Whitney, Ryan Lockley (both Bridgnorth), James Ralph (Kidderminster), Richard Oliver, Simon Gregory (Whitchurch), Anthony Parker (Shifnal), Andy Gray (Alvaston & Boulton), Neil Saker (Reigate), Mark Downes, Martin Delaney (both Wellington).
