Hot David Haye can beat Klitschko says Richie Woodhall
Saturday 2nd July 2011, 12:14PM BST.
Shropshire’s former world boxing champion Richie Woodhall believes David Haye can book his place in British sporting legend by winning his heavyweight super-fight with Wladimir Klitschko in Germany tonight.
Three of the four recognised world titles go on the line – Haye’s WBA crown and Klitschko’s IBF and WBO belts – in Hamburg in one of the most eagerly anticipated contests for a generation.
Telford-based Woodhall – the former WBC super-middleweight champion –flew out to Germany on Thursday to be part ringside as part of the Radio Five Live commentary team.
And he believes Haye can notch the biggest victory of his life in what is a career defining contest.
“I have said from the word go that I think Haye will win it and I still think that now,” said Woodhall, who has been recruited to commentate for BBC at next year’s Olympics.
