Market Drayton Town set to take on Barwell

The happy travellers of Market Drayton Town set out to upset the Evo Stik League division one south odds tonight.

Simon Line’s side head to leaders Barwell boosted by Saturday’s 3-1 triumph at Goole – their sixth league win on the road this term.

That contrasts sharply with Drayton’s home form where they have collected just 11 points from 14 games at Greenfields, the worst record of any team in the league.

“It’s difficult to know why the away form has been good, especially recently, and the home form hasn’t,” said Line.

“We have found it tricky to break down teams at home whereas we have a bit more space when we are away and have taken advantage of that.

“But what we have proven in recent weeks is that when we get a team out which is near to full strength, we are a match for anybody in this league and hopefully we can show that again tonight.”

Long-term injury victims Stuart Ellis and Grant Goodhead have been ruled out for the remainder of the season with knee and hernia problems respectively.

But Line is hopeful midfield Shaun Humphries and defender Paul McMullen will shake off knocks picked up at Goole.
