Telford Titans star James Warman gets GB call-up

James Warman is the latest Telford Titans player to be called up to the Great Britain under-18 squad for this year’s World Championships.

Warman will travel to Latvia in April with team-mate Ben Hunt, who was also chosen after starring for Telford in the English National League.

The young defenceman is a product of the town’s successful junior development programme, and was brought into the Titans squad by coach Dave Fielder.

“We have to give write-ups to the GB coach after the games and James did very well,” Fielder said.

“He works hard in the gym, so he deserves to be there.”

Great Britain are in division one this season and will play Hungary, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan and Latvia in the tournament, which takes place from April 11 to 17.
