Bridgnorth Town on track for new keeper
Friday 31st December 2010, 8:00PM GMT.
All Bridgnorth Town boss Lee Mills wanted for Christmas was a new goalkeeper – and it seems the Crown Meadow chief may have got his wish.
Mills is close to tying up a deal for Biddulph Victoria stopper Tom Harrison which would bring to an end the merry-go-round goalkeeper policy at the club.
Harrison would be the the sixth man to don the gloves for Bridgnorth should be sign from their Midland Alliance rivals.
“We managed to use five before Christmas which was amazing,” said Mills.
“We haven’t had much luck. We started with Chris Cook in goal and then he moved away.
“Then Jay Nash came in but unfortunately he got injured and we’ve had three more since then.
“I have put seven days in on Tom and hopefully he will want to come and play for us.
“He played against us in our last game where we won 3-2 and made a couple of outstanding saves.”
