Shrewsbury Town 1 Cheltenham 1
Saturday 11th December 2010, 4:59PM GMT.
Shrewsbury Town salvaged their unbeaten home record with a late equaliser in their League Two clash with Cheltenham.
A 25th minute strike from Wesley Thomas put the visitors ahead before a late 25-yard effort from Shane Cansdell-Sherriff, which appeared to hit Tom Bradshaw on the way in, levelled the scores two minute from time.
Shrewsbury started brightly enough with Mark Wright and Jake Robinson both going close.
But Cheltenham gradually got on top and their reward came when Thomas played a one-two with Jeff Goulding before curling a 15 yard effort past Chris Neal.
Wright was narrowly wide with a 20 yard shot after the break while Shane Cansdell-Sherriff headed just off target from a late corner.
But Town’s tenacity was rewarded with the late leveller.
