Andy Sinton proud at AFC Telford striker deal

Boss Andy Sinton has backed Adam Proudlock to be come an AFC Telford United legend – after the striker agreed a contract to the end of next season.
Proudlock last night signed a deal that keeps him at the New Bucks Head until the end of the current campaign but includes an option for next term too.
And Sinton believes the 29-year-old former Wolves hitman could now stay at the Shropshire club for years to come.
“I’m absolutely thrilled because Adam brings a wealth of experience,” said the Telford chief. “I see a maturity in him, both as a player and a person.
“I signed him on a non-contract on next to nothing – I’m sure other people in the league think we’re paying him absolute fortunes but I can assure you we’re not.
“Even now we’ve got him to sign for the rest of the season and next season he comes within the structure.
“From day one he’s talked about signing not just for the short-term,” added Sinton.
“He’s thinking long-term and he could be here for four or five years and he could become a real legend in that time.
“A couple of Conference (Premier) teams were showing real interest in him and I heard on the grapevine that a pro club had been down two or three times to watch him.
“But he wants to play for me and he’s excited to be at Telford.”
Sinton will now open talks with 21-year-old captain Shane Killock, whose own contract expires at the end of the season.
* Midfielder Richard Davies has had his loan at Evo-Stik League premier division club Chasetown extended for a second month – though Telford have inserted a 24-hour recall clause into the deal.
“I rate him and he’ll be part of my plans this season and next season,” added Sinton.
