Carlos Logan running to sign for the Bucks?

Midfielder Carlos Logan may become the latest player to sign forms at AFC Telford United – but assistant manager Darren Read insists the squad is in good shape.

Former Darlington and Barrow man Logan, 25, is a free agent and has been training with the Bucks for the last few weeks.

Read said he could now sign non-contract forms in order to add competition for places, though he and manager Andy Sinton are satisfied with their options.

“At this moment in time we’re quite happy with the size of the squad and the quality,” he declared.

“We’re always looking to improve and if a player we fancy does become available then we’ll invite him in.

“Carlos Logan has been training with us and we may put him on forms.”

Meanwhile, midfielder Will Richards – signed in the summer after his release from Shrewsbury Town – has had his loan spell at Market Drayton Town extended for a third month.

Richards has helped the Evo-Stik League first division south side recover from terrible start to the season, winning three and drawing two of their last six league games after losing all of their first nine.

Defender Rory Wood, 19, who has yet to feature in Telford’s matchday squad after signing on non-contract terms from Walsall, is to link up with West Midlands League premier division side Shawbury in order to gain experience.

  • Telford will travel to Harrogate Town in the first round proper of the FA Carlsberg Trophy on Saturday, December 11.The Yorkshire side set up the meeting with the Bucks by winning 2-1 in their third qualifying round replay at Witton Albion last night.
