Ted Hankey set for Steve Beaton clash
Friday 19th November 2010, 2:51PM GMT.
County darter Ted Hankey bids to continue his fine form in the Grand Slam of Darts when he returns to the oche tonight.
Hankey, who already has a win over favourite Phil Taylor under his belt, faces Steve Beaton for a place in the quarter-finals at Wolverhampton’s Civic Hall.
The 42-year-old from Aqueduct in Telford – and known as ‘The Count’ – came through his group with a 100 per cent record and will start as slight favourite against his fellow former BDO world champion.
Taylor is also back in action tonight when he faces Ronnie Baxter, while five-time World Champion Raymond van Barneveld entertains Scott Waites as the second round reaches a conclusion.
