Darts’ Ted Hankey waits to take on Phil Taylor

Shropshire two-time world champion Ted Hankey faces a wait before his mouthwatering Grand Slam of Darts battle with Phil Taylor in Wolverhampton.
Telford-based Hankey will open his campaign in the £400,000 event at the Civic Hall on Sunday when he takes on Wes Newton in his first-round robin match in group H.
Taylor meets Dutchman Michael van Gerwen on the same day with the order of play for the rest of the group matches decided after that encounter.
The clash between Hankey and Taylor, who has won 15 world crowns, will take place on either Monday or Wednesday night.
The tournament starts on Saturday.
