Former Shrewsbury Town keeper Jasbir Singh saves a late Adam Proudlock penalty, denying the striker a hat-trick

AFC Telford United saw their 12-match unbeaten run in the Blue Square Bet North ended after playing for more than an hour with 10 men in a controversial clash with Solihull Moors.

It started well enough for Telford, who took the lead after 12 minutes when Adam Proudlock fired in his first league goal for the club.

But Solihull were level on 21 minutes, Simon Johnson firing in off a loose ball after a good run and shot from Junior English.

And the game was turned upside down on 32 minutes when Phillip John was harshly sent off for a foul on Adam Cunnington – a decision that enraged Bucks boss Andy Sinton, who was himself sent to the stands at half-time.

Solihull made the extra man count in the second half, adding a second when Junior English got in front of Shane Killock to convert Ryan Beswick’s cross.

It looked all over on 63 minutes when Theo Streete fired in after the hosts failed to clear a corner.

Proudlock gave Telford a lifeline with his second of the afternoon on 77 minutes but Beswick made sure of the points for Solihull with an 89th minute fourth.

There was still time for an injury-time penalty for Telford, but keeper Jasbir Singh saved to deny Proudlock his hat-trick.
