Don’t miss Shropshire Star snooker KO chance
Monday 18th October 2010, 11:00AM BST.
The biggest snooker tournament in Shropshire is back – boasting an exclusive special offer.
The Shropshire Star Snooker Knockout is launched with a guaranteed £200 first prize for the winner of the prestigious tournament. Other cash prizes will also be up for grabs.
Entry is just £10, and the Shropshire Star have teamed up with World Snooker to ensure the first 60 entrants will receive a free ticket for a session to watch the sport’s leading stars in action at the UK Championship at Telford’s International Centre in December.
Shifnal’s Matt Davies – the defending champion – will again be the man to beat in the main event, while all first round losers will be entered into the Plate competition.
The tournament is being run in conjunction with Network Telecom, which is based at Hadley Park in Telford.
