Jake Robinson in action

Shrewsbury preserved their unbeaten home record with a 1-1 draw with a lively Torquay United side.

The visitors were the better side thoughout the game after Jake Robinson had given Town a fifth minute lead.

Gulls skipper Nicky Wroe blazed over from the spot before Elliot Benyon equalised with Torquay’s second spot kick on 33 minutes.

And the Devon club had chances to win the match with Mark Ellis having a header cleared off the line and Wayne Carlisle hitting a post late on.
