Graham Turner hails his unsung heroes

Shrewsbury Town boss Graham Turner has hailed two of his team’s ‘unsung heroes’ – full backs Mat Sadler and David Raven.
The two summer recruits have been consistent performers during the opening weeks of the season and have helped Shrewsbury to a run of three clean sheets ahead of today’s trip to Gillingham. And Turner has been impressed with the way both players have settled in.
“They are not only doing well defensively, they get forward extremely well and if they don’t get the ball they are stretching defenders all the time,” said the Greenhous Meadow supremo.
“But their defensive attributes have so far been very good. They have been very steady and controlled their wide players comfortably and they are decent in the air as well.
“The back four as a whole over the last few games have done extremely well and that bodes well for the season.”
