No qualms over TNS discipline problems for Mike Davies

Manager Mike Davies has no qualms about the The New Saints’ early discipline problems – despite having two players sent off in the last two Welsh Premier outings.
Striker Chris Sharp is currently serving a two-match ban, with possibly more punishment to come following his dismissal for foul and abusive language against Bala.
And stalwart defender Tommy Holmes is also out for three games after his retaliation sparked a mass brawl in last week’s 2-1 loss at old adversaries Llanelli, a defeat that sees the Saints six points adrift of the early leaders.
Both are notable absentees as TNS bid to get back on track in tomorrow’s home clash with Carmarthen (2pm).
But Davies is backing his side to return to winning form despite the recent red-card setbacks. “Discipline has let us down in the last two games, but it is not a problem,” he said.
“Chris Sharp was really unlucky, to send him off was a woeful decision and hopefully we’ll never see that ref again.
“And it was out of character for Tommy, he was devastated at what happened and knows there are no excuses.”
