Shrewsbury Town caused a Johnstone’s Paint Trophy upset as they dumped League One Oldham out at Boundary Park.
Steve Leslie scored the only goal of the game with seven minutes remaining to send their 265 travelling supporters home happy.
The winger was fed the ball by Craig Disley, produced a smart turn before smashing the ball into the bottom corner from 20 yards.
Town had earlier hit the woodwork twice through Sean McAllister and Shane Cansdell-Sherriff with headers from set pieces while, at the other end, Chris Neal wasn’t overly stretched.
