Macclesfield 0 Shrewsbury 1
Saturday 14th August 2010, 4:58PM BST.
Shrewsbury Town’s perfect start to the season continued with a third win in a terrific opening week.
Town followed up triumphs over Bradford and Charlton with a 1-0 success at Moss Rose against Macclesfield.
The only goal of the game arrived as early as the third minute when Matt Harrold slotted home from 12 yards after excellent work down the left from full back Mat Sadler.
Town’s victory in their first away game of the campaign ensures their early season momentum shows no sign of faltering.
Shrewsbury also kept their first clean sheet under new boss Graham Turner, despite losing goalkeeper Ben Smith to injury after just 21 minutes. Chris Neal was called from the bench to deputise.
