Wolves are continuing to monitor Michael Kightly's comeback from a long-term injury.

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy today dropped a big hint that Michael Kightly and Stephen Hunt are firmly in his plans for the new season when he revealed both will be in his Premier League squad of 25 named next month.

The injured pair will also travel to Ireland along with keeper Matt Murray on the pre-season tour next week.

Clubs have to submit the names of all 25 players to be used from the start of the season until January under the new Premier League rule, if they are fit or not.

Kightly is around two weeks behind the rest of the squad in his pre-season preparations as he recovers from chronic inflammation in his patella tendons.

Hunt will not be ready to play until October as he battles back from a long-term foot injury.
