OK, so England beat Slovenia ( who??????). Considering the obscene transfer fees and wages paid to our “superstars” I would call the 1-0 result against a country with a population only slightly higher than the the English player pool a disgrace. If they meet Argentina then they can book their return seats in advance, and they have not got past Germany yet. Can they improve enough to move on?? I’m not sure but one thing is sure, they MUST do a lot better than they have so far. Time will tell but I fancy them for a trip home in the near future.
