Bucks in early start to the season

AFC Telford United will report for pre-season training on Tuesday next week – with boss Andy Sinton keen to steal a march on their Conference North rivals, writes CHRIS HUDSON.
Sinton – who also expects to tie up two more new signings by the weekend – is eager to get down to work with his players.
The Telford chief has been busy building a squad since his appointment last month, but is now looking forward to getting out on the training ground.
“We’re probably going back at least a week earlier than most of the teams in the league, but I think that’s important,” said Sinton.
“The extra week will give us all a chance to get to know each other and I’m looking forward to it.
“I’m a firm believer of training to a high intensity,” he added. “You should train the way you play.
“It will be a modern approach. The players will enjoy it and I want them to have smiles on their faces.”
Meanwhile, Sinton is continuing to talk to transfer targets as he looks to freshen up his squad.
He has already brought in right-back Ashley Wooliscroft and attacking midfielder Steve Abbott.
And he is now close to signing up a wide player and another defender to bolster his ranks.
He will also hold talks this week with the remainder of the squad he inherited.
Sinton plans to try and tie midfielder Phil Trainer down to a deal, while he will hold discussions with defender Adam Dugdale and forward Steve Thompson.
“There are a few things in the pipeline and we are close,” he added.
