Sinton’s ‘shine’ pledge to Bucks’ players
Tuesday 1st June 2010, 12:30PM BST.
Boss Andy Sinton is ready to give every member of AFC Telford United’s squad a chance to shine, revealing that no-one will be released – yet.
The Bucks’ new manager has completed initial chats with the playing staff he has inherited, and is happy to give them all a chance during the early weeks of pre-season training.
Winger Matt Blair is the only man who will not be reporting for duty next month, having been invited for a two-week trial with Blue Square Bet Premier club Kidderminster.
“I can’t blame Matty because it’s a step up,” said Sinton. “He’s only going on a two-week trial and I’ve told him I’d love to get him back in if it doesn’t work.
“I’m not getting rid of anyone yet, I want people to come in and show me what they can do.
“There are a few who we hope to get tied up over the next few days, and others will get their chance to answer a few questions in pre-season.
“I’ve touched base with everyone now, and none of them has said they want to leave Telford.
“I don’t want to be getting rid of anyone until I’ve made a full assessment. I want them around in the short term. The long term depends on what they show me.”
Meanwhile, midfielder Jon Adams is ready to commit his future to Telford – after rejecting offers from FOUR rival clubs.
Supporters will have a first chance to meet the new manager tonight, with a fans’ forum taking place in the Learning Centre at the New Bucks Head (7.30pm).

Oh dear. I can’t see the fans who wanted the whole squad replaced being happy with this. Own goal number 1, Andy?

Lots of fans underwhelmed by the efforts of many (not all) of the merry-go-round squad last season, result – gates down. Wouldn’t have to look far to find out who they are….a mistake to start with IMO.
