Bridgnorth set to battle St Georges
Friday 21st May 2010, 12:39PM BST.

Bridgnorth have been urged to turn their potential into points as they prepare to do Shropshire derby battle with St Georges.
Team manager Ray Perry believes his side have enough talent in the squad to be competitive in a higher level.
But last week’s defeat to Berkswell has left Bridgnorth second from bottom of the early Birmingham League division two table.
And that means the pressure is on as they welcome old rivals St Georges to Cricket Meadow
“If you look down the squad there is an awful lot of talent and I think the team could step up to a division higher,” said Perry, whose side will be unchanged.
“But we are not taking it out on to the pitch consistently enough at the moment.
“Changing the batting order is something we may consider tomorrow but it should be a good day.
“We always look forward to games against St Georges. The rivalry goes back a very long way.”
St Georges welcome back experienced duo Mo Arif and Sam Chesters for the derby,
And the Dragons have been urged to knuckle down with the bat after the disappointment of last week’s one-wicket defeat at the hands of Harborne.
Strong
“We need to learn to stick around at the crease for 25 or 30 overs and not worry too much about the scoreboard,” said spokesman Fraser Watson, who along with Harris Nadeem , has been left out of first team duty.
St Georges will also be looking for a strong performance from South African allrounder Godfrey Stevens who is batting at No 3 and bowls slow left arm.
Oswestry are boosted by the return of two key performers for the clash at Morda Road with Eastnor as they seek to follow up from last week’s first victory of the season.
Seam bowler Paul Robinson and allrounder Nick Williams are added to the team which beat Pershore last week, with Ben Parker-Marshall and Joe Clarke making way.
“Eastnor had a good result by winning at Fordhouses last week but we performed very well as well,” said club captain Mike Robinson.
“Confidence will be high and the wicket should be good which is when we are at our best.”
