Marc Pugh rejects fresh contract with Hereford United
Thursday 20th May 2010, 11:28AM BST.
Former Shrewsbury Town winger Marc Pugh is set to leave League Two rivals Hereford United.
The 23-year-old was offered a two-year-deal by the Bulls after topping their scoring charts with 13 goals last season.
A statement issued by Hereford, whose chairman Graham Turner and vice chairperson Joan Fennesey remain in talks of a takeover deal, said: “We have made Marc Pugh an improved offer for two years.
“He has rejected this and the indications are that he will sign for another club.”
Hereford released eight players yesterday including striker Leon Constantine and former Wolves defender Keith Lowe.
