Boxer Aaroon Fiaz at semi-finals

Shropshire’s Aaroon Fiaz could take his penultimate step towards becoming a national boxing champion on Saturday.
The 17-year-old from Shrewsbury ABC will take on Zac Burton from Manchester in the semi-finals of the Junior ABAs at the Bolton Excel Leisure Centre.
Fiaz only took up boxing two years ago but has stormed through to the last four.
And he has been preparing for the fight with the aid of training sessions with former Shropshire world champion Richie Woodhall.
“We have reached the semi- finals and beaten some very good opponents,” said Shrewsbury ABC head coach Davey Robb.
