Shrewsbury Town aim to finish their home League campaign on a high with a victory over play-off chasing Morecambe at the Prostar Stadium tomorrow.

Town, who need an unlikely combination of results to go their way to sneak into the top seven, will be without skipper Graham Coughlan, midfielder Craig Disley and forward Jake Robinson.

The trio are all back in training but none will feature against the Shrimps.

Goalkeeper Chris Neal is expected to start tomorrow’s penultimate fixture. Neal has played second fiddle to loan man David Button of late, but the Tottenham star is likely to drop to the bench, along with on-loan striker Jamie Cureton.

Full back Joe Skarz is likely to be the only loan player in the starting 11 with Shrewsbury short of defensive cover.

Morecambe want three points to try and secure their own play-off place. The Shrimps are currently eighth, outside the top seven on just goal difference.

* Town fans now have a chance to vote for their player of the season. Last year’s clear winner was Grant Holt, but this season’s award is expected to be a much tighter affair.

To vote, fill in a voting slip from reception, the ticket office or club shop at the Prostar Stadium.

They need to be returned to Player of the Year, Shrewsbury Town, Prostar Stadium, Shrewsbury, SY2 6ST. Fans can also e-mail their nominations to ian@shrewsburytown.co.uk

The Player of the Year awards night takes place on Sunday, May 9.
