Higgins pulls out of county snooker date

Snooker star Alex Higgins has pulled out of an appearance in Telford next month.
The 61-year-old was due to take part in the Snooker Legends Tour, which comes to the International Centre on May 8, but will no longer be taking part on medical advice. The former world champion has fought a long battle with throat cancer.
He has been replaced in Telford by 1985 World Champion Dennis Taylor.
