The firm which makes iconic Aga cookers in Telford today reported a dip in sales, but insisted it was still making ‘encouraging’ progress.
Aga Rangemaster, which has bases in Coalbrookdale and Ketley, issued a trading update to the stock market this morning.
The company revealed sales had dropped in June, but claimed its new Total Control cooker was poised to become a big success.
Chief executive William McGrath said: We have tremendous brands led by our re-energised Aga ranges, and key product lines are starting to gain momentum.
“International sales growth remains a central objective. This will become clearer in a year in which we expect further progress.”
Aga’s full figures for the first half of the year are due to be released on August 24.
