A band of merry will be at Oakengates Theatre this Christmas when Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood roll into town.
The panto will run from December 8 to January 2.
Children all over the country have grown up with the colourful characters and legends of Friar Tuck, Will Scarlet, Little John, Maid Marion, the scary Sheriff of Nottingham and of course, the hero that is Robin Hood.

This year’s production has never been seen before, with London pantomime producers Paul Holman Associates writing a show especi- ally for Oakengates Theatre.
There will be new characters, modern music and creative choreography, all combined with some familiar faces.
Of those familiar faces, there are two real characters back this year by popular demand after their hilarious performance in Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Comedy duo Francis and Wheatley raised the roof at Oakengates in their last panto appearance.
Welcoming the cast into town yesterday was Councillor Arnold England, Telford & Wrekin Council cabinet member for leisure and well-being, who said: “Pantomimes are a magical experience for all of the family and I am delighted that we are able to hold such a production at Oakengates Theatre.
“Every year the pantomime is enjoyed by young and old.”
