A lot of media hype has made everybody believe we were rubbish, when in truth we were robbed of a goal which would have put us on level terms with a team that embarressed the mighty Argentina.
Apart from that, we were unbeaten in the group stages.

True Spencer to a degree but we did have the easiest of groups and the worlds most expensive set of football players. We could have expected a lot more.
There was no hype in noticing how they lacked cohesion. Compare them to Ghana and Ghana did better than expected showed great spirit and strength. What did we show?

They are only the most expensive players in the world because idiot teams like Manchester United, Chelsea, and Manchester City are happy to pay far too much money for them. Best players i think not. Barcelona, Inter Milan and Real Madrid are looking to buy none of them.
Its a misconception that the best players cost the most money. Look at Man City for instance, 24,000,000 for Yaya Toure from Barcelona whilst Barcelona will pay no more money for the considerably better Cesc Fabregas.
Just because we have rubbish negotiators in this country does not mean we have the best players..
