DJ Tom Campbell has launched Sound Of Shropshire, a new podcast focusing on the county’s music scene.

The podcast is available to download free of charge from shropshirestar.com and www.shrewsburychronicle.com

The DJ’s daily shows are broadcast from 4pm to 7pm on Telford & Wrekin’s 107.4FM Telford FM, Shrewsbury’s 106.5FM The Severn, Oswestry and north Shropshire’s 107.1FM The Severn and north Worcestershire’s 107.2FM The Wyre.

Tom said: “There’s plenty about music in Shropshire.

“We look at the gigs, the movers and shakers, the best up-and-coming bands, the news, the gossip and the venues. There’s plenty in the podcasts and we’ll be broadcasting a new one each week.

“We’re also encouraging bands to get in touch with us if they’d like to be featured in future podcasts. They can email news, music, photographs, gossip and anything else, within reason, to music@shropshirestar.co.uk”

Details of Tom’s weekly podcast will also be printed each Thursday in the Shrewsbury Chronicle’s Culture pages.
