Three wins from three – the Market Drayton promotion bandwagon is gathering momentum.
They surged up to second in West Midlands One courtesy of a 2-1 triumph over Stafford last weekend.
And it means Drayton entertain Leamington on Saturday trailing leaders Wednesbury on goal difference only.
In a scrappy encounter, Drayton always looked more likely to break the deadlock and so it proved as Simon Rawsthorne put the visitors ahead with an assured finish after a drag flick from James Joule was smartly saved.
A nasty collision saw striker Brendan Jones sidelined, but the visitors doubled their lead just after the break when Rawsthorne rounded the keeper and undercut the ball home to take his tally to six for the season.
Stafford pulled a late goal back but confident Drayton were not to be denied.
