Cruckton ploughing championships pull in crowds

Farmers from across Britain descended on the Shropshire and Powys border for the Cruckton ploughing championships.
Organisers today hailed the event which was held at Crankwell in Chirbury on Saturday a huge success.
About 100 ploughmen and women from across Britain took part and organisers said the most colourful spectacle was provided by the horse drawn ploughing competition, with 10 teams of horses taking part. Secretary Helen Davies today said: “It was a very good day and everyone seemed to have a fantastic time at the event.”
